Define the use
Will this be an enclosed terrace or a heated year-round room? Glazing, profiles and roof specification depend on that answer.
Design roof and façade together
Glass roofs, bioclimatic roofs and fabric pergolas perform differently. Sliding, guillotine or folding glass should be selected alongside furniture and circulation.
Solar control
South and west façades can overheat. External screens, roof shading, solar-control glass and natural ventilation should be treated as one system.
Drainage
Gutters, downpipes and ground discharge points belong on the technical drawing. Existing drainage must be checked for fall and capacity.
Permissions
Local rules, building type and estate management may require approval. Confirm the applicable requirements before installation.
Power and lighting
Cable routes for motors, LEDs, sockets, heaters and sensors should be planned before production, using suitable outdoor protection.
