A technical introduction to fall, gutters, safety glass, solar control and condensation.

Water management starts in design
Performance does not come from sealant alone. Correct fall, overlaps, EPDM gaskets, continuous gutters and controlled downpipes must work together.
Safety glass
Overhead glazing is selected for the project. Laminated or tempered-laminated combinations help control breakage behaviour. Final thickness follows span, panel size and load calculations.
Sun and heat
Transparent roofs bring daylight but can add summer heat. Solar-control glass, external shading, blinds and opening vents should be evaluated together.
Condensation
Temperature differences can cause surface condensation. Insulated glass, thermally broken profiles, airtight junctions and ventilation reduce risk but cannot guarantee it never occurs.
Maintenance access
Safe access to glass and gutters belongs in the design. Leaf guards, cleaning points and serviceable downpipes shorten maintenance.
